Hello it is cold here too

Hello from Michigan in January. It is cold. Florida is currently in the news because it is never cold there but is experiencing record lows in the 20's. So silly questions are being asked by Floridians like "Do I wear more clothes?" or "Can I go outside?". The answer is to all of those is "Yes, just keep warm!" My answer as it is always is in January in Michigan, is "wear lots of clothes like sweaters & undershirts under shirts." Remember there are only 31 days in January & only 28 days in February. Thank God! The weather will pass so hunker down & stay warm, Florida - pretty soon you will warm up! Just remember us up here in the cold.

I wrote this out for my kids the other day. They did not know what it meant. When I told them, that it meant "true love always" for their dad & me, they laughed. But I wrote a long time ago & it still rings true.

A Silent Night To You All

A whole lot to get in order, in order to get it all ready to be done for the upcoming holiday. Yet, I am sitting by the fire with my dog at my feet. My daughter is out. My son is one computer, my husband is on the other & here I am on the third. It is soooo quiet. I am listening to quiet that matches the snow outside. Dusk is upon is and so is joy, a peaceful, quiet joy.

Get out of town

That we did last week. We went to Cincinnati. It was an under 48 hour trip but it felt good to regroup. It was also good to be with friends that we rarely get to see.
